Mrs. Samantha Crumbacker, Assistant Principal
Mrs. Crumbacker continues her service with BCPS as the Assistant Principal here at Shepherdsville Elementary. She brings with her 17 years of experience in education, serving as both a teacher and instructional coach. She obtained her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from EKU, a master's degree as a Literacy Specialist from the University of the Cumberlands, and a Rank I in Educational Leadership from Indiana Southeast University.
Mrs. Crumbacker is married to Todd Crumbacker, BCPS Director of School Nutrition Services. They have two children and one "fur baby." They enjoy playing games, watching movies, spending time with friends, and being on the lake.

Mrs. Overstreet has been working at Shepherdsville Elementary since the doors opened in 2005! This will be her 27th year as an educator for Bullitt County Public Schools and her 17th year serving as a school counselor.
A little about her- She has been married to her husband, Gary, for 33 years. They have 2 sons (and a daughter-in-law), and one granddaughter, Makenzie, who is a 4th grader in BCPS. They will be welcoming twin grandsons in the fall!
"I love being a school counselor and love this school and community. There is no place I would rather work than right here. Other things I love... my dog, Cash. He's a Toy Aussie Doodle and full of personality. I love traveling, cooking, eating at unique restaurants, growing a garden, playing Pickleball, and just spending time with my family."

Ms. Rachelle Elam, Instructional Coach
Ms. Elam was "born and raised on the North end of Bullitt County" and has been part of BCPS since 2011. She has worked as a 3rd-5th grade teacher at Overdale Elementary and Lebanon Junction Elementary. From 2019-2023, she served as the Instructional Coach at Brooks Elementary, and began serving as the Instructional Coach at Shepherdsville in 2023.
Ms. Elam received her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from WKU in 2011 and completed her master's degree as a Reading and Writing Specialist at the University of the Cumberlands in 2013.
"I love the welcoming staff and happy, kid loving culture there is at Shepherdsville. My hope is that every kid at Shepherdsville is able to learn in a safe and engaging environment. I am excited to partner with you at Shepherdsville to educate your student’s this year."
