Dr. Brandy Howard, Chief Academic Officer
Dr. Brandy Howard joins the Bullitt County Public Schools district leadership team as our new Chief Academic Officer.
Dr. Howard is no stranger to BCPS as she has served as the Principal at Old Mill Elementary for the past three years. Prior to her time at OMES, Dr. Howard spent a year as an Instructional Coach at Lebanon Junction Elementary and seven years as a classroom teacher at Crossroads Elementary School here in BCPS and Crestwood Elementary School in Oldham County. She also has experience as a webmaster, an online school coordinator, and a home hospital teacher in the Corbin Independent School District. Dr. Howard attended Union College where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Masters of Arts in Education as a Literacy Specialist. She earned a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of the Cumberlands and an Education Specialist certificate from Bellarmine University.
Brandy is married to her husband, Jeff, a surgeon at Norton Healthcare and Director of the Louisville Metro Department for Public Health and Wellness. They have two kids, Jeffrey and Kate, who are 7 and 6 years old. Both are students at Old Mill Elementary School. In their spare time, the Howards love spending time by the pool and going on family walks. Brandy also enjoys reading and baking!
