Bullitt County Public Schools is reimagining accountability through Community Based Accountability (CBA)—a system designed to measure both student success and the aspirations our families and community hold for BCPS students.

At the heart of this work are six key pillars that serve as the foundation for our district’s accountability framework:
Student Learning
Student Readiness
Engaged, Well-Rounded Students
Community Engagement & Partnerships
Safety & Well-Being
Operational Effectiveness

Our CBA Team, made up of district leaders, educators, parents, and community members, recently gathered for its fourth meeting. This time, the group focused on the Student Learning and Safety & Well-Being pillars, discussing what success in these areas should look like and how we measure it.

Superintendent Dr. Jesse Bacon shared his appreciation for the team's dedication, stating:
"This work is more than just numbers on a page—it’s about defining success in a way that truly reflects our students and community. The thoughtful feedback from our team is helping shape a meaningful and transparent accountability system that we can all be proud of. I’m grateful for their time, insights, and commitment to making BCPS the best it can be.”

As this work continues, BCPS remains committed to shared accountability and ensuring that our schools provide exceptional opportunities and outcomes for every student. To learn more about the vision behind CBA and why it matters, check out this previous article.
