On Wednesday, April 20, 140 BCPS students competed in the Kentucky Student Technology Leadership Program (STLP) State Finals. BCPS also had three entries earn State Rankings!
The STLP aims to empower student learning and achievement through the use and creation of technology based solutions to school and community needs. Students create projects, products, or services to meet the identified needs and then demonstrate their process and learning through categories such as instructional, technical or community service based projects to digital content creation (digital art, photography, design, programming, app development, robotics, etc.) to technical services (student help desk, network engineering, wireless deployments, etc.).
Congratulations to our three state-ranking projects:
- Reece Caldwell, Eastside Middle School – 2nd place in the NKU Mobile App Challenge
- Roby Elementary School – 1st place in the Robotic Line Challenge
- Pleasant Grove Elementary School – 2nd place in Cinemania
BCPS is very proud of our students and schools for working tirelessly on their submissions. It is a testament to these students’ skills and dedication that BCPS had so many students compete at State Finals this year! Congratulations to all who participated.
