Each year, every school district in the state of Kentucky is represented at the Kentucky School Boards Association (KSBA) State Conference through a banner that hangs at the conference.
This year, we have twelve student-created designs representing this year’s conference theme of “The Sky is the Limit” – but only one can be submitted from BCPS. Now we need YOUR help!
The designs are shown below. After you’ve decided on your favorite, please click here to choose the design you would like to represent our district. You may vote for your favorite between now and February 7.
“This project is a great example of our Graduate Profile Pillars of ‘Productive Collaborator’ and ‘Community Contributor,’” says Dr. Jesse Bacon, Superintendent. “Some of these banners were collaborative, with our students working together to identify how they want the theme to be depicted on their banner; then collaborating on creating that visual representation,” he explains.
Assistant Superintendent Adrienne Usher agrees, continuing, “As they work on the project, students learn how important it is to contribute to the community of their school district. And even better – they see how giving their time not only helps support the community, but it can be a lot of fun at the same time!”
