Mrs. Mullins was recognized at the board meeting for being MWES teacher of the year. We wish her well as she advances to the district level. We think she is a winner no matter the outcome!!

Our one and only Martha "Lou" Foster received The Moving Forward Award at the board meeting. This honor was given for her dedication to our school and students. You will see her each morning with the stop sign in our car rider line. Give her a big thumbs up to say congratulations as you drive by in the morning:)

Texas Roadhouse gift cards from the FRC fundraiser have arrived for pick up. You may pick them up at school between today and Tuesday, December 12. Any gift cards not picked up by the 12th will be sent home with your student.

Bus 1973 and Bus 2020 are our today - Wednesday, Dec 6. Please take advantage of the before and after YMCA care. Drop off MUST be before 8am. Pick up must occur by 5:30pm. You should have an email from the transportation with the sign up link.

Make plans now!! Winterfest is this Saturday, December 2 from 11-2 Performance times are as follows and we request that the students arrive 30 minutes prior to performance times. All split grade classrooms will perform with the highest class number (i.e. 1/2 split will perform with 2nd grade) 2nd grade students will be allowed in the building at 10:50, parents can enter at 11:00. Singing Times 11:15-11:30 2nd grade 11:40-11:55 1st grade 12:10- 12:25 4th grade 12:35-12:50 Kindergarten 1:00-1:15 5th grade 1:25- 1:40 3rd grade Families who pre-purchased bracelets for Winterfest will receive their bracelets at the door when they check in, instead of them coming home this week with their students.

One final reminder to make your voices heard! The Mt. Washington Elementary SBDM Principal Selection Council is seeking student, staff, parent, and community input as we develop the final criteria we will use to select the next principal for MWES. As a group, we have agreed to the following, but we would like your feedback for further criteria that we should be seeking in our next principal.
