Hey Families! Join MWES for "Math is a piece of cake". Family Math Night is Thursday, January 19th from 5:30-7:00 PM There will be door prizes and giveaways.

The staff enjoyed the opportunity to spend some time together. Lots of fun and laughs were had by all. Congratulations to some of our game winners. This group along with those unable to attend are a true gift to our MWES family!! We appreciate you!!

Thanks to city worker elves who helped deliver items that were donated from People’s Bank and the community for our school’s Family Resource Center. We appreciate your acts of kindness and generosity. Happy Holidays!!

Thank you for all the support with the Texas Roadhouse Gift card fundraiser! We were able to raise over $2300 for our FRC program. This program directly benefits our students and their families. All of the gift cards were sent home yesterday. Prizes that were earned will be given out after break. Our top sellers were Jax in Mrs. Ulininski's class with $930 in gift cards and Madison in Mrs. Caswell's class with $800 in gift cards Great job! The top selling class was Mrs. Uliniski's. They won an appetizer party for after break! Thank you again for all the support. Have a wonderful break!

One last round of Thanksgiving was celebrated by our kindergarten classes. They prepared corn bread, butter and pudding to share with each other.

Teachers and staff spent today getting a refresher on PLC’s, analyzing data and learning more small group reading strategies. Definitely a full day!

A great night was had by all who came to the MWES PTA trunk or treat! Many wonderful costumes, yummy candy and generous food donations.

Data! Data! Data! We have up to three pieces of data being shared with you in the next few days. The Kentucky State Assessment (KSA) results are out. Here is the our data at a glance. (KSA is formerly known as KPREP). Here is a link to view all the data on the KY state report card. 4th and 5th grade students who took the test last year will be bringing home Your child’s report cards are available on Parent Portal. Please check Parent Portal for their grades. Please call the office if you can not remember how to log into Parent Portal. Predictive Assessments (formerly known as CASE) for grades 1-5 are ready. The Predictive Assessment is a district wide test given three times a year. Students took a math and English Language Arts assessment in September. These tests are based on the standards they are learning. The scores will be going home in the Tuesday Folders. Conferences are scheduled for the week of November 7th. Thanks to this crew of scouts and their parents. We now have a clean shed and arboretum. Your time and hard work are appreciated. We have another Fall Clean up day scheduled in November.

Our First H.U.G. Sessions of the Year! Thank you to all of the tutors, the teachers, and volunteers of Mt. Washington Elementary for supporting our FIRST H.U.G. Sessions of the 22/23 year. We look forward to working with our students!
