Nichols Knights Families,
We have had another wonderful week. We had our Safe Schools Audit this past Tuesday. Thank you to all of the parents who came in for the parent interviews. The KCSS (Kentucky Center for School Safety) team was very complimentary of many things at Nichols, but they also had a few suggestions. I will share the survey and interview results when I receive the official report in the next few weeks.
Then on Wednesday, the Kentucky Safe Schools Marshall stopped in. The State Marshall visits every school in Kentucky every year to make sure things are running smoothly. He said he was, once again, impressed by the procedures and routines that we have in place, as well as the cleanliness of the building.
Thursday night we had our Title I Family Night - Literacy, Math and Technology. Thank you to all the teachers and staff who worked hard to prepare family learning activities and decorated for a fun family night. We had quite a few families stop in for some snacks and family fun.
And finally, today we had Spring Pictures! Students and staff had individual pictures taken, and then each homeroom had a class picture taken. We were even able to get a staff group photo! We haven’t had class pictures in the yearbook since before COVID! I’m very excited to see our class photos in our yearbook this year, and I’m excited about the addition of the staff group photo. You may order online using the code that was on the packet that was sent home several weeks ago, or on the flyer that your child brought home this week.
Also, please know that today, 3/17, is Mrs. Krystine Patenaude's last day with us here at Nichols. Until our secretary position is filled, please direct all ClassDojo messages to either Ms. Maggie Bledsoe or Mrs. Nicki Simcoe. Mrs. Krystine, thank you for all of your help and we hope that you are successful in your new position!
