ATTENDANCE MATTERS

08/25/2023
Nichols Knights Families,

This week has flown by!  We started our iReady assessments this week.  iReady is the program that is replacing CASE, which used to be MAP.  iReady is an excellent fit because students are tested on standards and then they are assigned a Learning Path according to their needs.  We will be doing iReady for Reading and for Math.

The Student handbook was shared on Class Dojo, can be found on the Nichols website, and is linked here. bit.ly/45g9zQH Each week at the beginning of the year, I will share a couple of tidbits from the Student handbook that answer questions we have been getting phone calls about. This week’s tidbit is about dress code:
Tennis shoes are recommended to participate in PE classes.
Tuesday PE - (4) Ferrell, (2) Thornsberry, (K) Reverman
Wednesday PE - (5) Quiggins, (3/4)Tomes, (1) French

I hope you and your child have a wonderful start to this new school year.  Always remember that you can call, email, or message in Dojo, when you have questions or concerns.  And if you need to come in for a conversation, we’ll set up a time for that as well.  Welcome to Nichols!  Go Knights!

Upcoming dates:
9/4 - Labor Day holiday - no school
9/5 - Bullitt Day - teacher work day - no school
10/2 - 10/6 - Fall Break
11/4 - Fall Festival 2:00 - 6:00

Have a wonderful weekend !
