Nichols Knights Families,
What a wonderful week! The Nichols Fire Department stopped in on Thursday afternoon to review our Emergency Plan and walk through the school to check everything to make sure we are safe. It was great having the firefighters here. They are going to be a great resource for us.
Kindergarten and First Grade ended the week with a yummy treat. Kindergarten students got to enjoy apples, Mrs. Reverman’s delicious homemade applesauce, and warm, cinnamon apple cider. And Mrs. French harvested two cantaloupes from the garden. She cut and peeled them under the document camera so all students could see. Then they were cut into bite-sized pieces. After her class got a taste, Mrs. French invited all the other students to come in and get a sample. It was a big hit. Sweet and delicious!

BCPS has a new district website this year, and every school also has a new website. There is a lot of great information and it’s easy to find. My favorite feature is the Event Calendar.
