ATTENDANCE MATTERS
11/18/2022
Nichols Knights Families,
It’s been a great week! Many of our extra-curricular after school activities are in full swing. This week we had Chess, Archery, STLP, and FPS (Future Problem Solving). We are proud of all of our students who put in the extra effort in after school activities. Go Knights!
Our attendance has been on the decline this week. We have been hit hard with flu, strep, stomach bug, etc. We appreciate your support in following the 24-hour fever and vomit free rule. It helps to reduce the chance of germ-sharing. Also, please remember, when your child is absent, even if you have spoken to us on the phone about the absence, we still need a signed excuse note (parent or doctor) for the absence to be excused. Too many unexcused absences result in truancy letters being sent home. We’d like to avoid that. Notes should be sent to Maggie Bledsoe, our attendance clerk.

BCPS has a new district website this year, and every school also has a new website. There is a lot of great information and it’s easy to find. My favorite feature is the Event Calendar. As events are planned and scheduled, we add them to the Events calendar. Be sure to check it out soon. Nichols Website
