Nichols Knights Families,
Welcome to 2023! We have all struggled a bit to get back into the routine of school this week, but we did it, and we’ve had a great week! We started practicing our emergency drills today by completing our third round of bus drills for the year. In the next couple of weeks we will practice our Lock Down, Earthquake, Tornado, Bomb Threat, and Fire drills. We will have a Safe Schools Audit in mid March. When the audit team visits they will be asking for input from teachers, staff, bus drivers, parents and students. I will share more details when the tentative date of March 14th is confirmed. If you’d like to participate, please let me know.

BCPS has a new district website this year, and every school also has a new website. There is a lot of great information and it’s easy to find. My favorite feature is the Events Calendar. As events are planned and scheduled, we add them to the Events calendar. You will also find my Nichols News articles posted each week in the "News" section of the Nichols Website.
