ATTENDANCE MATTERS
01/13/2023
Nichols Knights Families,
Thanks for another great week!
Our attendance continues to be steady around 95%. We’re so glad to have most of our students well and coming to school each day.
Report cards were made available through Parent Portal as of Wednesday this week. If you are having trouble accessing your Parent Portal, please reach out to our Attendance Clerk, Maggie Bledsoe. maggie.bledsoe@bullitt.kyschools.us.
We had our monthly Celebration on Thursday afternoon followed by House Parties.
Our class attendance trophy for December went to: 4th Grade/Ferrell. And Darroch was the House that had the highest attendance in December.
Our Mojo Banner was awarded to 3rd Grade/Tomes for the highest percentage of positive Dojo points.

We will have a Safe Schools Audit in mid March. When the audit team visits they will be asking for input from teachers, staff, bus drivers, parents and students. I will share more details when the tentative date of March 14th is confirmed. If you’d like to participate, please let me know.
BCPS has a new district website this year, and every school also has a new website. There is a lot of great information and it’s easy to find. My favorite feature is the Events Calendar. As events are planned and scheduled, we add them to the Events calendar. You will also find my Nichols News articles posted each week in the "News" section of the Nichols Website. Please visit the Nichols Website and keep up with Class Dojo to stay informed.
Upcoming dates:
01/16 - MLK Holiday - no school
01/26 - PTA Meeting 6:00
Have a wonderful weekend!!
