This month our school is learning about Gratitude. Our Fifth grade students want to show gratitude for staff members in our building. The older students will be delivering these gratitude certificates to staff as we receive them. Please click on the google link to submit a letter of gratitude for any of our staff members. You and your student can submit multiple google forms, if you'd like to show gratitude for multiple staff members.

Dear Parents and/or Guardians: Just a few reminders about our car rider procedures and the dress code from Nov. 1, 2024 through Mar. 31, 2025 -- No Shorts allowed during these months. At Overdale we strive to provide the best possible experience for our students and their families. We are proud of our car-rider arrival and dismissal process and the safety that it brings to our students. In order to streamline the process even more, we would like to remind you of the following: 1. Please form 2 lines as you enter the school parking lot. These two lines will turn into one line when you get to the front of the school. Alternate like you would in a drive-thru 2. Pull all the way up to the end of the porch so that we can exit/deliver as many students as possible at one time. 3. As you arrive please have your child ready to exit the vehicle with their backpacks on their backs. . 4. Parents/ Guardians should stay inside the vehicle when dropping off and picking up their child. 5. At dismissal, if your child needs help with their safety belt, please pull over to the side of the school and fasten them securely. 6.If the car in front of you has not moved, please do not pull away from the line and go around the vehicle. This information was distributed in August at our Open House/Back to School Night, as well as located in your student's agenda. Thank you for your cooperation.

Mrs. Schwartz's 5th grade students had a great fall party!
We had a great pajama day today! A student came to school today that didn't have pajamas on and was upset. Officer Baker came to the rescue and purchased him some pajamas and he was so excited! Tomorrow students can wear costumes but no masks, face paint or props.
We are celebrating Red Ribbon Week! We had several student and staff wearing red today. Tomorrow if pajama day! Student and staff can wear pjs with regular shoes. (No house shoes)
Kindergarten had a great field trip last week! They went to the Kentucky Railway Museum and were able to ride in a train.
We celebrated our students on Friday at our 1st Mustang Celebration of the school year. We had lots of awards to hand out to our students.

We would love to welcome Ms. Kimberly Herps to Overdale. She will be our new kindergarten instructional assistant in Mrs. Romans' classroom.
Attention: 4th/5th grade families that are on the Archery team. **Mandatory** parent meeting will be this Thursday 10/24 at Overdale in order to take care of necessary paperwork and get all pertinent information for the season. First practice takes place this Wednesday 10/23 after school until 5:15. Thanks, Coach Geary
