YOUTH CONTESTS
The parents of students must be a Bullitt County Farm Bureau member (insurance is not required). This is the information for our upcoming youth contests. Please give this information to your students. All participants get a cash award the night of the contest. We will be holding the youth contests at our annual meeting on Saturday, September 21.
The Outstanding Farm Bureau Youth Contest will be for those who are 14 years old but not have reached 19 years old by January 1, 2025. They must be a member of Bullitt County Farm Bureau and must submit a contest application, along with a certified copy of school grades for the past two years. The two areas of competition are a personal interview and a 2-minute prepared speech related to agriculture or Farm Bureau. The winner will represent us at the 5th District Contest. There will be a monetary award at the county level.
The Variety Contest will be held the same evening. Contestants must be 9 years old but not have reached 19 years old by January 1, 2025. They must also be a member of the BCFB (for group acts, 50% of the group members must meet this requirement). You will need to apply. The acts may be in any performance area: vocal, instrumental, dance, or drama. There will be a monetary award at the county level. The winner will also represent the county at District level in Anderson County on October 29.
