Today's student spotlight goes out to Megh Patel. "Megh has worked so hard to learn a new challenge using AI prompting to generate an realistic image. Megh's hard work truly paid off yesterday as he placed 2nd in the state at the STLP State competition in the AI on Demand Challenge. I am so proud of you Megh for preserving through this challenge and coming out a winner!" -Mrs. Compton

Our STLP team had a great day at state! Megh Patel came home with 2nd place in the AI on demand challenge! Our students were also part of the KET News Quiz show that will be airing very soon! It was such a fun day and we are so proud of them all!










Our OMES STLP team is headed to Rupp arena this morning to represent Old Mill at the STLP state competition. Good luck Koalas!



Celebrating the end of basketball as we wrap up our first-ever elementary basketball league! Huge shoutout to our incredible kids and coaches– the boys won the tournament and the girls rocked the runner-up spot! So proud of their hard work and sportsmanship. Here's to many more seasons of teamwork and success!











Family Steam Night was absolutely incredible! We're immensely grateful to all the families who joined us for this STEAM event. A whopping 240 punch cards were turned in, totaling 1,200 unique activities completed across Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math.

🌟 Our station materials are prepped, the book fair is in full swing, and we've got awesome raffle prizes lined up! Not only will your family have the opportunity to get their hands on some STEAM activities, take home some goodies, but if you participate in at least one component for each letter of STEAM, you will be entered into the raffle! We are giving away Marble Mazes, books, Robots and.... an iPad!

This weeks community spotlight goes out to Texas Roadhouse. Thank you for surprising our staff with rolls and salad last week. We appreciate your continued collaboration and support to our OMES staff.


We are so proud of our academic team and how well they represented Old Mill yesterday at the regional competition! Our quick recall team battled very close matches and showed awesome teamwork. In our content areas, we want to celebrate the following:
-Carter B. for placing 2nd in Social Studies
-Xander W. tied for 5th in Language Arts
-Gracey M. was recognized for High Achievement in Math

This morning we celebrated our volunteers and the dedication they show to our school at our Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast! Thank you to our community for the donations and thank you to Ms. Shawn for putting together the beautiful breakfast and for sustaining a strong foundation in our volunteer program!











It was a great day to be a koala yesterday! Our K-2 kiddos did a fantastic job during their storybook plays! These students have worked so hard. Thank you to all the families they joined us for our plays yesterday!
