Pleasant Grove Elementary School

We had an incredible Academic Team season! We are so proud of the hard work these students have put in this year! We placed 2nd overall at Regionals Saturday and 1st in Quick Recall (after several tough rounds)! The following students place in content areas:
Math- 1st place: Jackson
Science- 1st place: Jackson
Social Studies- Tie for 5th place: Weston and Samuel
Arts & Humanities- 3rd place: Fox
Composition- 1st place: Jackson

Principal Landon embarked on his journey a little unsure but tackled the hour with determination and a smile😊 He ensured building safety, ran our Live School PGE Store, and celebrated a couple of Positive Office Referral students. Before his hour concluded he made sure our last House Point class winner was recognized. Principal Landon stepped our lot of his comfort zone and led with pride!💜🐬

Principal Mutter kicked off our Friday morning Principal for a Hour by greeting our 1st grade families. She then listened to a couple of first graders present their community helpers learning, celebrated our House Point winners, and ensured the building was secure with a quick perimeter check. Principal Mutter led proud during her hour🐬💜

👩‍💼💜 Principal Makayla for an Hour! 💜👩‍💼

Today, Makayla stepped into the principal role and did an outstanding job! During her hour, Principal Makayla observed several student presentations, awarded multiple Positive Office Referrals, and even popped into the library to recognize students with LiveSchool points for being responsible and attentive during their lesson. 👏✨

She took her role seriously and worked hard every single minute. Way to lead, Makayla! 💜🐬

1st grade had an amazing visit with four community helpers Wednesday morning and their working dogs - Deputy Ford with Deputy Joli, Deputy Burden with Deputy Ardes and Deputy Simpson all with the Bullitt County Sheriff's Office and Officer Best with Officer Zita from the Mt. Washington Police Department. Deputies Ford and Joli showed us how she does her job with a game of hide and seek with boxes. It was informative and engaging and we even got to give Deputy Joli some love before she went back to work!
