At our last faculty meeting, Trisha Lee and Lisa Armes presented our staff awards to two caregivers who have shown EXCELLENCE and CARE in the month of August.
Trisha Lee had this to say about the August Excellence Award winner, Jessica Borden- " I feel that Jessica has shown that she is a hard worker for the last few years. She has gone above and beyond to help all the students in her class, especially those challenging students. She always shows how much she loves and cares for her students. Her students are blessed and lucky to have her as a teacher."
Lisa Armes had this to say about the August Care Award winner, April Atherton- "The cougar care award goes to someone who shows they truly care about the school, staff, and students. April is a veteran teacher who gives a lot of time and energy to help wherever she is needed with the staff and students. "

We hope everyone is working on their cars for our Annual Drive In Cinema and Car Show. We always look forward to seeing student's creativity shine. Prizes will be given for the best designs. Attached are some examples of how to build the cars.

🌟 We are so proud of our Roby students for achieving above 94% average daily attendance last year and having the most improved attendance out of all BCPS elementary schools! 🎉
This incredible accomplishment would not be possible without our amazing families who make sure our Cougar Cubs are here, learning, and thriving each day. 💙
We are also beyond thankful for our attendance team—our Attendance Clerk, FRC, Counselor, and Principal—who go above and beyond to support our families. From providing alarm clocks, assisting with transportation, and even making home visits, they do whatever it takes to show students and families that they are cared for and to reduce chronic absenteeism and truancy.🐾❤️
