During our November faculty meeting, our staff awards were presented to new outstanding caregivers.

Mrs. Vorster had this to say about her choice for the excellence award, "I chose to pass this award on to Jessie Dawson. She consistently goes above and beyond in both of her roles and is always willing to support others in theirs. She has integrated into Roby seamlessly—so much so that it feels as though she has always been part of our team. Her dedication, reliability, and positive presence make her truly deserving of this recognition."

The third grade team chose to give the CARE award to our math interventionist, Mrs. VanZile. "she shows care to students and staff in so many ways. Between making treats for birthdays, to cheer up colleagues or encouraging students when they've had a tough day. Mrs. VanZile shows care every day."

We want to give a shout out to one of our Roby bus caregivers, who is celebrating her birthday today!

The Roby Chess Team did fantastic at Saturday’s Patriot Tournament at Roby. Each K-1 player placed. The K-3 group placed 2nd overall and had several place individually. The K-5 group came in 3rd overall with some placing individually including Mason who placed 2nd. Congratulations to all our players and their hard work! #RobyChess

Sweets with Santa is TOMORROW!

When: Friday, December 5th at 5:30 pm

What: An entertaining evening full of performances, Santa Shop, treats, photos with Santa and a live auction hosted by the Beta Club. Students who are performing should arrive by 5:15 pm. Grades 3rd-5th students will be dropped off in their pod. K-1st students need to be dropped off in the music room. 2nd grade will be dropped off at the library. Students in grades 3rd-5th will be released to parents from the gym after all performances. Students in K-2nd grade will be released from the rooms parents dropped them off at before performances.

We are kicking off the 12 days of Care Spirit tomorrow! Let's have some fun while spreading Care to others this month. We look forward to seeing everyone in their holiday shirts and outfits.

❄️Today, Tuesday, December 2nd is NTI day #1 for BCPS. ❄️☃️ 💻 Students brought chromebooks home yesterday. Some classes shared their schedule, Google Meet info and more yesterday in preparation for a possible NTI day today. Those links and other info will be shared through Rooms this morning. Teachers will begin live instruction at 9:10 am. 📚👩🏻‍🏫 If you need assistance or to pick up a Chromebook, our front office is open now until 4 pm.

December is quickly approaching ! We are continuing our 12 days of Care Spirit again this year! We will be showing Care with fun themed days from December 4th until December 19th. We're looking forward to seeing our students dress up and have some fun.

In November, on one special day, prehistoric creatures come out of extinction to spread a love of reading. Our Cougar cubs had a blast seeing these special visitors roaming the hallways and reading in pods. The dinosaurs also helped us celebrate some "Dino-mite" readers. #Dinovember

The K-5 group came in 2nd overall with several also earning individual awards for placing in top 20. Congratulations to all our players and their hard work!

Dinovember is coming! We are ready to spread the love of reading with the help of some prehistoric friends. We encourage our Cougar Cubs to wear a dinosaur shirt.
