It’s National Assistant Principals Week, and we’re taking a moment to celebrate the high school leaders who support, problem-solve, encourage, and lead in every corner of our schools. We asked our high school APs, What makes your job worthwhile? Their responses say it all. From student growth to staff relationships, they show up every day with heart and purpose. Whether they’re helping students navigate challenges or preparing them for life after graduation, their impact runs deep. To every BCPS high school assistant principal, we see you. We value you. And we’re grateful for the way you live out Shared Accountability and help move our mission forward each and every day. Up next, our Elementary and Middle School APs! #BCPSSharedAccountability #BCPSStudentsMatterMost #MovingForward

Dear BCPS Families and Staff, As flooding continues to impact Bullitt County, we want to provide both a schedule update and a reminder that the safety and well-being of our community is our top priority. 🚨 Community Update: The Kentucky National Guard has been deployed to assist in Lebanon Junction and is on standby in Shepherdsville. Several agencies are currently supporting local efforts in water rescues and evacuations. Most of Lebanon Junction is without power, and shelters remain open and fully stocked at: North Bullitt High School Roby Elementary School Lebanon Junction Elementary School The Salt River is expected to crest Monday, April 7, at 2 PM at 37.2 feet, well above the 32-foot flood stage. Water levels will begin to recede slowly throughout the week. Please remember: Do not drive around barricades or through flooded areas. 📅 School Schedule Update: Monday, April 7: Schools will be closed due to continued unsafe conditions. Tuesday, April 8: Will be our rescheduled Bullitt Day (No school for students). Wednesday, April 9: Tentative first day back for students. A final decision will be made on Tuesday, but parents and staff should prepare for Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI). 📌 While we will continue making decisions one day at a time, families should begin preparing for the possibility of NTI Days through the remainder of the week (Wednesday–Friday). We remain committed to keeping you updated as conditions evolve. Thank you for your continued patience, flexibility, and support as we work together to keep our students, staff, and community safe.
