School social workers regularly help our BCPS students, families, + teachers address problems that would otherwise inhibit them from success at school. This month we thank our social workers for all they do! #SWMonth2023 #SocialWorkBreaksBarriers

Unfortunately, power has not been restored to all of our facilities. In addition, we also have several network systems issues and bus routes that are still impassable. Due to this, BCPS will be closed tomorrow, Monday, March 6th. As others in our county may also still be experiencing power outages at this time, this will be a traditional closure with no NTI. The make up day for this cancellation will be May 31st.
“If there’s one thing I’ve learned in life, it’s the power of using your voice.” — Michelle Obama. Happy Women's History Month! #WomensHistoryMonth2023 #herstory
At this time, we still have numerous schools currently without power in our county. We are attempting to give the electric companies involved as much time as possible to get power restored, but depending on the outcome, this might impact our ability to return to school tomorrow, Monday, March 6th. As always, we will make every effort to let you know as soon as possible should we need to close tomorrow, but we wanted to provide this notice about the possibility of closure to you sooner rather than later so that you can begin making plans for your family just in case. If we are unable to have school tomorrow, we will communicate that decision as soon as possible.
Our maintenance workers are some of the most dedicated individuals we have ever met here at BCPS. Thank you for providing our students with safe and supportive spaces to learn and grow! #employeeappreciation
