🔎📖 Text Feature Surgeons at Work! 🏥✂️ Last week, students in Mrs. Atkinson’s class at Pleasant Grove Elementary School became Productive Collaborators and Critical Thinkers as they performed Text Feature Surgery! 🩺📚 Working in surgical teams, they identified text features in various magazines and carefully “transplanted” them onto their patients. During their post-op debrief, students practiced being Effective Communicators by discussing which text features were the most difficult to find and how these elements help readers better understand information. Some roads, including Beech Grove, Cedar Grove, and Highway 44, continue to see rising water levels, with additional closures expected.
