During the afternoon of yesterday's New Teacher Induction, our ✨ 51 brand new teachers ✨ were able to learn from our THRIVE Coaches, prepare for their first days with students, and collaborate with each other. THRIVE Academy will continue to support them throughout their first year in the profession. Welcome to Team BCPS! #MovingForward
This morning we welcomed over ✨ 80 teachers ✨ to Team BCPS! Some of these teachers come to us with experience from other districts and others are brand new to the profession. We can't wait to learn and grow together with them throughout the school year! #MovingForward
**Important Transportation Communication Change for 2023-2024**
Families will no longer receive phone calls for bus changes or outages. There is a new BCPS transportation App coming later this year, but until that is ready, BCPS will use the following channels to communicate regarding bus transportation: email, text, BCPS App notification, BCPS website, and the BCPS Transportation Facebook Page.

Last week, our THRIVE Academy (new teacher support program) offered a professional learning workshop centered on the basics of solid teaching: building relationships, holding high expectations, developing routines and procedures, and more! While there, these educators prepared resources and plans to make their first few days with students as successful as possible.
