Students in Ms. Bewley’s 6th grade ELA classes engaged in a collaborative protocol to generate questions about The Great Depression. They’ve been reading informational texts about this era and will use these questions to guide their research as they create news magazines about what they’ve learned.
Students in Ms. Breeze's ELA classes worked with groups to make posters with credible, relevant evidence to support their claims in argument writing. They then chose a docent to represent their groups and the other students did a gallery walk to collect evidence from multiple sources. Students are writing arguments about the benefits of recess for middle school students.
