Archery Camp Information

Greetings everyone, we have some announcements about Band, Color Guard, 8th grade dance, and 8th grade Promotion Ceremony. Band 7th & 8th grade band students: You can be a part of the 2023 Bullitt East Marching Chargers! There will be a meeting on Monday, April 17 at 7 pm in the library at Bullitt East. This is for anyone who is planning to or at least thinking about joining the marching band. See you there! Color Guard The Bullitt East Color Guard has a place for you! Color guard performs with the marching band in the fall and has their own season in the winter. Students dance and spin equipment such as flags, rifles, and sabers. Anyone interested in learning more should attend the marching band meeting on Monday, April 17 at 7 pm in the library of Bullitt East. 8th Grade Dance The 8th grade dance is scheduled for Friday, May 19th. This year's dance will be from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Admission for the event is $10 per student. Ticket sales begin Wednesday, May 3rd. Admission to the dance will include snacks. This dance is for 8th grade Eastside students only. No other grade levels may attend and no students enrolled outside of Eastside are permitted. Limousine drop off and pick up on campus will not be permitted. Permission slips will be required for dance ticket purchase. Please note: Two piece dresses that expose the midriff WILL NOT BE PERMITTED. If at any time the midriff can be seen, even while dancing, students will be required to cover up with a sweatshirt or jacket. Any other attire deemed too revealing or inappropriate will require the same. We will be strictly enforcing. 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony The 8th grade promotion ceremony is scheduled for May 31st. Each student will receive FOUR passes to distribute to family members. Every person entering the ceremony must have a ticket to enter, including younger siblings (only babies are the exception). Persons 18 or older MUST have a valid ID for entry. Because parking may pose a challenge, please allow ample time for arrival. We will begin the program promptly at the scheduled time. As a courtesy to all participants, students will not be permitted to leave the ceremony until it is completed. Ceremonies last under 60 minutes. Students will know where they will be sitting and will be advised to tell parents where they will have the best viewing/photo vantage point. Please ask them if you should sit on the side with the American flag or the eagle decal. If you require special seating arrangements, please notify the school in advance. Attire for 8th grade Promotion: Khakis / polo / dress shirt / dresses. No shorts. No jeans. Students will be advised on appropriate attire. Journey Team: Doors open at 8:45 am. Ceremony begins promptly at 9:15 am. Quest Team: Doors open at 12:30pm. Ceremony begins promptly at 1:00pm. Sincerely, Antone Towns Principal

Eastside is celebrating kindness week!

Baseball tryouts are scheduled for 2/7 and 2/9 Location: KSA 2/7 4:00-6:00 for 6th graders 2/9 4:00-6:00 for 7th graders Parents will need to fill out the registration form for tryouts to attend. The tryouts will be a closed tryout due to lack of space in the facility. Put a cap on cancer day, last Thursday Eastside Middle School collected over 500 toys and raised $425.

Here’s a shoutout to some of the cheerleaders and their families who gave up their time on Saturday to help cleanup around the school. The back patio looks so much better!

7th & 8th grade Supply Drop Off August 5th 7th grade from 5:30- 6:30 and 8th grade 6:30- 7:30. We look forward to seeing you! Homeroom teachers will be contacting students between August 3 and August 4.
