Did you know something as simple as a scribble is actually a work of art? In art this week, Ms. Burchett read a book about scribbled and then students created their own scribble characters, learning that even a scribble can be art. Everyone can be an artist! #t4bcps. #MovingForward

Fifth graders worked on teamwork collaboration skills today. Groups were given 10 pictures of different places in the United States, each with a clue on it. Students were only told that there are no rules of how to find the information. They really enjoyed this activity while working hard as a team. What a fantastic day.

Our Bulldogs rocked safety drills this morning. Each year we must practice all four drills during the first week of school. You may hear your child talk about “hiding” in the classroom, loud alarms, or having to hunker under desks. This is because of our practices this morning. Students practiced *an earthquake drill (hunkering under desks and covering their neck) *lock down drill (hiding in the classroom in case of a dangerous person in the building) *sever weather drill (otherwise known as tornado drill) *and a fire drill.

What did you do this summer? Kindergarten students in the Steam Lab used different shapes to create a scene from their summer. What a great way to think outside the box and use your imagination to tell a story. #MovingForward #t4bcps
