Ms. Utley’s class participated in a book tasting this afternoon. I wonder what their favorite genre will be? #t4bcps

We are preparing for our students’ success. Staff spent Friday’s Bullitt Day diving into standards to determine essential standards for learning. #t4bcps

LJ staff continued preparing for the school year to start by training in literacy strategies with literacy expert, Lynn Schwallie. Our focus this year is on literacy skills and moving students forward in their reading abilities and we now have new tools in our toolbox to add to help us. #t4bcps

The school year is not far off. LJES staff continue to prepare for students to return by training and learning new strategies. This morning we worked with Stefanie Kleinholter, a Digital Learning Coach, to explore new technology and ways to engage students in the classroom and then spent the afternoon planning our social-emotional and PBIS lessons with Ms. Willis. #T4bcps

The FRC sponsored Archery Camp has been a great opportunity for our archers to practice their skills prior to try-outs this fall. Not to mention a great way to stay out of the heat while doing something you love!

We're working on a major website overhaul in order to better serve you! We are still working hard to get everything finalized, so our websites are a bit sparse for now. Check back often to see our progress! #MovingForward https://www.bullittschools.org

We celebrated our retirees with a luau in their honor. Congratulations to Ms. Crawford, Ms. Glenda, and Ms. Clemens (retired in September). Once a bulldog, always a bulldog!

In case you have seen the emergency vehicles in front of the school: We had a student with a medical emergency. All students are safe.

The 5th grade band rental night scheduled for tomorrow has been changed.
It is now scheduled for Tuesday, May 17th from 6-8pm in the Bernheim Middle School library.

All we can say is WOW! Last week, the Lebanon Junction Fire Department partnered with LJES to collect money for Crusade for Children. We just got the final numbers…….after collecting for 4 days, our students and families raised $3,318.16. That’s incredible!
Ms. Olive’s third grade class collected the most money (over $1,300) and will receive an ice cream party with the firefighters.
Thank you to our families for supporting Crusade for Children in such a powerful way!

Tomorrow begins state testing for grades 4 and 5. We are so proud of our students and their progress this year. We encourage you to have your child get a good night's sleep, eat breakfast (either at home or at school), and come prepared with a positive attitude ready to show what they have learned.
