Parents and Guardians, we are still needing about 40 Household Income Forms to reach our 100% goal! If you have not filled out a form, please take a moment to do so. I have attached an editable Household Income Form as a bitly URL. Copy or click this URL for the form bit.ly/3R7BZZ8 If you would like to fill it out this way, simply download the PDF and you can type right in the document! Please see the attached picture for more information on why this form is so important for us. Please also know that you can "DECLINE TO PROVIDE INCOME" if you wish. Just check that box or fill out the information, sign, and return to school! Our deadline is the week of September 25th! Thank you so much!

Yesterday was our monthly Celebration! For Celebration, we gather together as a whole school to recognize the previous months accomplishments. We sorted some of our new Knights into their houses, practiced our "12 Powerful Words" and as always, gave away some awards! NES families, let's talk Chromebooks! Each year the $35 fee helps pay for the first free repair and monitoring software needed to keep your students safe. If you have not paid yet, you can pay online via MySchoolBucks https://www.myschoolbucks.com. Students can bring in cash or check (payable to NES.) We can also accept payments in parts if need be! A fee waiver and household income form went home at the beginning of the year if you need further assistance with school fees. Winter will be here before we know it, and any student who has not turned in their chromebook fees will not be able to take their chromebooks home in case of inclement weather. Questions? September is attendance awareness month. Regular attendance fosters a classroom community between teachers and children. Students who attend school are more likely to succeed academically. 💛 We love seeing our Knights at school! #EveryDayEveryKnight

THIS WEEKEND! Come one, come all... Back by popular demand, welcome to our CARnival Show! Enjoy an extravaganza of automobile craftsmanship, carnival-style games, face painting, balloon animals, a bounce house for the kiddos, and more! Refreshments will be available from Kona Ice and the PTA snack booth. *** SCHEDULE 11:00 AM Vehicle Contest Registration 12:00 PM Carnival Games and Activities Begin 3:00 PM Vehicle Judging and Ticket Drawings Begin 3:45 PM Winners Announced *** Psst…Want to show off your classic car, truck, or motorcycle? -All makes, models, and years welcome. It is $20 per vehicle to enter. -There are 5 categories for the vehicle contest: Best in Show, Best Interior, Best Exterior, Best Truck, Best Motorcycle, and Kids' Choice. Winners will receive a trophy. -Admission is free to the public. -All contests will be judged by 3 library staff members and 3 Nichols PTA staff members. The PTA president will be the tie-breaker if needed. For all ages. Just drop in! Space will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
