Nichols Knight's parents and guardians, help us out, please! Our Safe Schools visit will be on March 14th. A team from EKU's Kentucky Center for School Safety will be visiting that day and talking with staff, students, and parents. On that day, the team will share the results of our Safe Schools Survey. Please take a few minutes to complete the Parent Survey below. THE DEADLINE IS MARCH 2ND WHEN THE SURVEY WILL BE DISABLED. WE ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE 80% PARTICIPATION. On the parent survey, there are 15 questions. You may skip the questions that are labeled as MS and HS only. Parent Survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/NicolsESParents23

When you work within the school system, the phrase, "it takes a village" is so true. Nichols would not be the same without the vital support of both our school counselor and our FRYSC. They really go together like peanut butter and jelly! Thank you, Mrs. Clark and Mrs. Belcher for being a part of our village!

Not only is it National School Counseling week, but it's also Family Resource and Youth Service Centers (FRYSC) Week! We have some amazing FRYSCs in BCPS, and Nichols has one of the best, Mekayla Belcher! (No, we're not biased, we promise!) FRYSC roles in schools, communities, and education are vital to the bigger picture of serving our students and families all over. Thank you for all you do!

It's National School Counseling Week! We'd like to focus on the unique contribution of school counselors within our buildings and how our students are different as a result of what counselors do. National School Counseling Week highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve success. Nichols would not be the same without our own school counselor, Mrs. Clark!
