Mrs. Reverman's kindergarten class won November's Class Dojo award! That means they received the most positive points on ClassDojo for the month. What a bunch of hard workers!
We had loads of fun during our Literacy Night and Cookies with Santa. A special thank you to Mrs. Allen for "conducting" such a wonderful night! Thank you to all our Nichols staff and volunteers for all the help. We hope you had a blast! More pictures will follow!

Month 4 of the school year is ending! That means if you have any parent notes or doctors notes for your kiddo's absences for November, please get them sent in as soon as possible. Once the month officially closes, per BCPS, we cannot update their unexcused absences.
Notes should be sent in by Friday, December 3rd to ensure the absence is excused. Notes can be sent in with your child, dropped off at the front office, or if necessary, a picture can be sent to my email address at maggie.bledsoe@bullitt.kyschools.us.
Also, as a reminder as we move into cold and flu season, students have 6 parent notes and 10 doctor's notes to use throughout the school year.

Every year, NES loves to celebrate the Veterans of our community. This morning, the whole school gathered for the Pledge of Allegiance, as well as the singing of our National Anthem by our 4th and 5th graders. Thank you, Mrs. Yates, for teaching it to our kiddos! You always do an amazing job.
We were lucky enough to have two special visitors in our building for the assembly! State Representative Russell Webber presented Mrs. Landry with a brand new flag for our school. Veteran Clinton Saul, who is a Nichols alumni, visited to speak with our students.
Together, we watched our Veterans Day slide show. Our students and staff have SO many people to be proud of! We also listened to Mrs. Landry's reading of "America's White Table" by Margot Theis Raven. On the way out of our assembly, the students got to walk by our very own white table which was set in remembrance for Veterans that we have lost.
The teachers and staff of Nichols want to thank all who served.
We had a fabulous turn out for our Family Fun Night! 36 of our Knights and their families came to learn about human emotions with the help of A Little Scribble SPOT book series. A big thank you to all our teachers that were involved!
