Below is a survey in which you can help us evaluate our Title I Schoolwide Program. Before taking the survey, here is some information you can read to learn more about Title I.
What is Title 1?
Title I is a federally funded education program signed into law in 1965. Since that time, Title I has been through several changes, but is still focused on providing additional instructional support for students who experience academic struggles. Funding is provided to schools based on poverty levels. In addition, funding is connected to implementation of the Kentucky Academic Standards and assessments aligned to those standards. Schools also receive Title I Parent Involvement funds and can only be spent on increasing parental involvement. Each school's SBDM budgets and approves the spending of Title I funds. Title I schools are required to hold parent nights for the purpose of improving the academic success of each student through parent support. All of Bullitt County Public Schools Title I schools have a Title I Schoolwide Program which means funds can be allocated schoolwide, but funds have to be used to provide focused academic instruction and support based on needs identified by school data. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your child's principal for more information.
Thank you for your time and partnering with us to help your child!
