The 4th grade students had an exciting field trip to Squire Boone Caverns, where they explored Boone's burial site inside the cave and learned about the cave formation process. They experienced the life of early settlers by making candles, mining for gems, and observing how corn was ground in a gristmill. The trip provided hands-on insights into history and geology, making it a memorable learning experience!

This weeks community spotlight goes out to Raptor Rehab. They visited our 3-5 grade students last week. This incredible organization, dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of injured or orphaned birds of prey, introduced us to some fascinating raptors and shared inspiring stories of their recovery efforts. Students had the unique opportunity to see majestic hawks and awe-inspiring owls up close while learning about the vital role these birds play in our ecosystem.
Raptor Rehab’s visit left us all with a deeper understanding of wildlife conservation and how we can help protect our local wildlife. We are grateful for their impactful work and the chance to experience it firsthand!
