It's that time of year. Our first Book Fair of the school year will be September 23rd-27th. We are
looking for parents to help with our Book Fair. Please visit the link below to find days and times that are available for you to volunteer. We could not have a successful Book Fair without our parent volunteers.

🌟 Future Leaders Stick With It! 🌟
We keep trying even when things get difficult! 💪 We stay the course and keep going because if we want to find out how far we can go in life, then we have to stick with it! 🚀 Future leaders don’t miss out on opportunities because they never give up! 🔍 When things get tough, future leaders turn into problem solvers! 🤔 When we fail, we try again! When we try again, we try something in a new way! ✨ And if that doesn’t work, it’s okay to ask for help! 🤝 #Perseverance #ProblemSolvers #FutureLeaders 🌟

A huge shoutout to Mrs. Becky, our amazing bookkeeper at OMES! 🎉 Your hard work and attention to detail keep everything running smoothly, and we’re so grateful for all you do. Thank you for your dedication! 🙌 #koalascreate

🌟 Future Leaders Do What's Right! 🌟
This means we're honest and do the right thing, especially when no one is looking! 💫 That's integrity in action! We don't hide when we make mistakes; instead, we step up and show accountability to make things right! 💪 When we do what's right, we build trust with those around us! 🔍 #Integrity #FutureLeaders #Accountability 🌟

We are thrilled to announce the students who have made the OMES basketball teams this year. Your hard work, dedication, and passion for the game have truly shone through, and we can't wait to see you represent our school on the court.
We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who tried out. Your effort and enthusiasm did not go unnoticed. While not everyone made the team this time, we encourage you to keep practicing and pursuing your love for basketball. There are always opportunities to grow and shine, and we are proud of each and every one of you for your commitment.

🌟 Kindness in Action! 🌟
Future leaders practice kindness because it show we're thinking about others! 💖 It means we're friendly and gracious, always asking ourselves, "How do others feel? What can I do for them?" 🤔 Kindness is all about action! We can show kindness at school, at home, and in the world around us! 🏫🏠 Let's do kind things for those around us without expecting anything in return! 🌍 #KindnessMatters #FutureLeaders #SpreadLove 🌟

Today's student spotlight goes to Jase Story. "Jase is such a leader in the classroom, and is always encouraging others to make good choices. Jase often goes out of his way to help his classmates, and includes others who may appear to be left out. He works hard, and is a joy in our class! I'm so proud of you, Jase! " -Mrs. Dixon

🌟 Respect: The Foundation of Leadership! 🌟
Future Leaders understand that to make the world a better place, we must show respect! 💫 This means treating people in ways that demonstrate we care, through our words and actions. We show respect the first time, every time! We especially show respect to those around us who possess more knowledge and experience, such as our parents and teachers. Let's lead by example and foster a culture of respect in everything we do! 💖 #FutureLeaders #Respect #LeadershipValues 🚀

We’re thrilled to welcome Pamela, our new part-time volunteer coordinator! She’ll be splitting her time between Old Mill Elementary and Crossroads Elementary, and she’s so excited to get started with our incredible school community.
Don’t worry—Ms. Shawn isn’t going anywhere! She’ll still be in the front office taking care of clerical duties and keeping everything running smoothly.
Let’s give Pamela a warm Old Mill welcome as she helps to continue to grow our volunteer program! 👏

Our APEX Fundraiser starts next week!
