Last weekend the team attended the Susy Neal Fischer Chess Classic at North Bullitt. We had 19 student compete in the tournament and they all did a fabulous job. There were over almost 150 students present representing 12 different schools. Our k-1 team took 3rd place with Silas G. taking 5th and Jaxson D. taking 7th individually. Our k-3 team took 3rd place with Nolan taking 5th individually. The k-5 team came in 1st place with Grayson J. taking 3rd, Jakai D took 5th place, and Anderson H. took 7th individually. We are so proud of the boys and how hard they worked at this tournament.

"Ms. Milby has a heart for the work that she does. She truly loves the all students and meets them where they are. She is patient when a child is struggling, and when they are successful, she is the first to celebrate. Her nurturing spirit allows for both mistakes and growth as students have the courage and desire to try hard things. As her colleague, I know that no matter what question I might have, I can always ask her for guidance, and she will happily answer what she can or lead me to someone who has that answer.
