Who says NTI work can't be fun and valuable?
Our BAMS students are currently taking an Anatomy and Physiology class, so one of their NTI assignments was to use materials from home to design and create a functional hand! This lesson made the interdependency required between skeletal muscle and bone, ligaments, etc. for limb articulation.
Students even created the rubric with which all projects will be judged!

Here's another BAMS/GE project for your snowy day: The Lazy Window!
This project is a great example of the Graduate Profile competency of Innovative Problem Solver. You've heard of a Lazy Susan (poor Susan!) and you've seen revolving doors, but have you ever seen a revolving window with storage built in? Students in this group know that space in a tiny home is at a premium, and they are working on an innovative way to increase that space while also making the windows more useful. Stay tuned to this one - the result will be interesting to see!

Shout-out to Mrs. Rakes for being such an amazing teacher! #MovingForward #BCPSROC #BCPSBVLA

Yesterday, CRC students in Ms. Todd's class participated in:
CSI: Florence - Who was behind the plot to kill the Medici Brothers?
Students did a great job practicing the Graduate Profile Competency of Productive Collaborator as they pieced together all kinds and types of information to uncover the truth!

Just when you thought we were done - Here's another entry in our BAMS GE/Tiny House series:
The Solar Panel Tracker!
Students in this group were presented with a well-documented problem: solar panels are less effective when not receiving direct sunlight. They have been exemplifying the Graduate Profile Competency of Innovative Problem Solver by designing a rotating base for the solar panels. This base will rotate throughout the day to ensure the solar panels have as much direct light as possible, thus maximizing efficiency and electricity generation.
